Because all Canon EOS models have automatically adjusting apertures, once the adapter is mounted, the aperture will be fixed at the largest available setting. The KIPON EF for AJA CION adapter includes electronic access points that allow camera lens and body to interact electronically.
In this way the aperture can continue to be adjusted by the knob located on the side of the adapter. An external aperture indicator must be connected to monitor the value of the aperture and focal length. The
aperture value and focal length can also be adjusted with the additional knob on the external device.Although the lens will fit physically, auto-focusing, and other functions will not work. Only manual model will be available.
